Student Leadership

All students have the ability to demonstrate leadership qualities and skills. We have many opportunities for student leadership at the College, for example:

  • Lamp Bearers at Year 12 (traditionally recognised as School Captains)
  • Student Representative Council (2 students from each year level)
  • House Captains (4-8 students at each year level)
  • Student Participation Group (2 representatives from each homeroom)

Students have other opportunities to display leadership in areas involving sustainability, choir, school band, library monitors, bus monitors and liturgy group.

We also incorporate programs such as Peer Support and Buddy programs to allow students to foster relationships and develop connectedness, not only amongst the members of their year level, but also throughout the school.

Moreover the Justice and Democracy Forum, the St. Vincent de Paul Chapter and the Leos Club forge strong links to our Brigidine Core Value of Practicing Justice and Service.
