Applications are invited from suitably qualified teachers for the following full-time ongoing position:

Outdoor Education

Years 7-10 Physical Education

English

Humanities

The successful applicant will have:

  • * A demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.
  • * An understanding of current and innovative teaching pedagogy
  • * The ability to incorporate digital technologies in a 21st Century classroom

The following day-to-day tasks are included in the teaching role at the College:

  • * Employ a variety of effective learning and teaching strategies to effectively implement the curriculum and cater for individual learning needs
  • * Give appropriate time to lesson-planning
  • * Understand State and National curriculum requirements
  • * Keep accurate records of student attendance
  • * Develop assessment instruments in a collegial manner, planning for common assessment tasks and timelines in teaching teams
  • * Monitor the progress of each student and provide meaningful and regular feedback
  • * Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of student progress and achievement
  • * Engage in and prompt learning progress conferences with students and parents
  • * Write formal academic reports that conform to report-writing guidelines
  • * Understand and maintain high adherence to professional practice standards of learning and teaching

Remuneration: the position is covered by the terms and conditions of the Victorian Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2018. Depending on qualifications and experience the salary range for this position is $70,818 - $106,146.
